Mahmoud Abbas’s request for full membership of
Palestinian to the United Nation.
On 25th September
2011 Palestinian
president, Mr Mahmoud Abbas, requested that Palestinians be
granted full membership to the united nation through a speech to
the UN General Assembly. He formally handed the application to
Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations.
The Palestinian people have an undeniable right to an
independent and viable state. No conditions dictated by the
Israeli occupation, the so-called international community,
quartet on the Middle East or
the Security Council are acceptable. The masses in Palestine
have suffered oppression and discrimination for six decades

Friday 29th July 2011 demonstrated the possibility of a serious
regression in the progress of the Egyptian revolution. On that
day two bourgeois counter-revolutionary groups, the Muslim
Brotherhood and the Salafis, took to the streets in an effort to
show their force. This was followed by an attack on people who
had been staging a sit-in in Altahrir Square for the past three
weeks by the oppressive forces of the Military Council on 1

Physical attacks and sexual harassment against
women is a Reactionary and Shameless Act by the Sectarian and

Boat Crash Tragedy
A boat carrying about 100 asylum seekers from Iraq and
Iran in its way from Indonesia to Australia in pursuit of a
better and safer life smashed against the Christmas Island
coastline yesterday morning. Dozens of people onboard, including
children and women have died. The bodies of 30 asylum seekers

On the Iraqi governments decree: the
transference of Iraqi port labour Leaders to Mosul & the
dismissal of 340 workers.
The Ministry of
Transportation issued another arbitrary and despotic decree to
transfer four leaders of the Port Workers Union from the city of
Basra in the south to the city of Mosul in the north. Those
leaders are president of the Port Workers Union Ali Khither,
deputy president Hirman Said Kathim, Secretary of the union
Abdul Kathim Karim Wadi, and member of the Committee of Stores
Union in the ports Raid Abdul Hussein. This decree was in
response to workers protesting against the dismissal of 340
workers from various sections of the General Company of the
