The Regional Governor of Muqdadyiah and the Islamic parties around him must remain silent
After the organization of the Worker-communist Party of Iraq in Muqdadyiah revealed the corruption including thefts and embezzlements of public money and property by municipal council involving the regional governor in this town who was in the center of this corruption and the mediator between the members of municipal council and other parties involved in plundering public wealth. The regional governor called for a meeting for the political parties and proposed a vote to close down the offices of the Worker-communist Party of Iraq in Muqadyiah under the rubric that the WPIraq calls for secularism and criticizing religion. The Islamic parties, the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution of Iraq and al-Dawa party, as usual voted for the closure. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan also voted for the closure and its representative expressed proud that his party closed down the WPIraq’s offices in Suleimanyiah, in Iraqi Kurdistan in year 2000.
We in the Worker-communist Party of Iraq we protest to the regional governor, who we will take with other members of the municipal council to court for the embezzlement happened in this town, that we will defeat his plot to oppress freedoms and will expose him and those who stand behind him, inside Iraq and internationally. These terrorist parties which are closely connected to the Islamic Republic of Iran and have a big role in plundering the society’s wealth, continuing terrorism, oppression and enforcing the laws of the Islamic Republic in any place they exist, can not maintain their activity and survive on lies, superstitions, assassinations and bloodshed against freedom-loving masses who seek a prosperous and dignified life. Like the Islamic parties, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has a record in serving the Islamic Republic of Iran and acting as its mercenary in order to maintain its grip on the throat of the masses. It is the freedom-loving masses in Muqdadyiah and the Worker-communist Party of Iraq who demand and struggle to sweep out these parties from political arena. The offices of these parties and not those of the WPIraq should be closed because they are holes for terrorists.
We warn the regional governor and these terrorist parties that all their offices will be under our hand wherever we have an existence once they attack our office in Muqdadyiah. We hold the USA forces in Iraq responsible for the oppressive practices of these parties which are brought in and given shares of the society’s plundered wealth while the society suffers as the result of sever shortage in social services, of unemployment and lack of security to legitimize their presence of these forces in Iraq.
The Worker-communist Party of Iraq calls on people in Muqadyiah to gather around it to remove these corrupted parties from their lives and to directly involve in running their town through a free election where their representatives are elected to municipal council and the post of regional governor.

Press Release Number 6 by the Worker-communist Party of Iraq
October 4, 2004
Following the vote for the proposal presented by the regional governor of the town of Muqdadyiah in a meeting for political parties to close down the office of the Worker-communist Party of Iraq, which was supported by the Supreme Council of Islamic Revolution of Iraq, Aldawa party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan under the rubric that the Wpiraq calls for secularism and criticizes religion. In Baghdad a delegation from the Wpiraq involving Qasim Hadi, Rashid Isamil, Muhamad Jasim and a large number of the members of the party went to the offices of these parties which voted for the proposal to close the WPIraqs office.
First the delegation went to the office of the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution of Iraq in Jadyriah- Bghdad. The leaders of the SCIRI welcomed the party and denied knowing anything about the vote in Shahraban. They claimed they are against such practices and that they are practices coming for individuals rather than being their party’s policy. The WPIraq’s delegation warned them that any terrorist action against the office of our Party or any of its cadres, the Wpiraq will use its right to respond and that they will put their safety and the safety of their offices at risk.
Then the delegation went to the office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Al-Nsoor Square, a suburb in Baghdad. They too denied having any knowledge about the decision to close the WPIraq’s office in Shahraban; they claimed they even do not know the name of the head of their party in Shahraban. They emphasized that when the WPIraq’s delegation visited them last time, they respond very quickly to its demand to release our comrades( Carwan Majid and Jaza Hussein) held in the PUK’s prisons in the city of Suleimanyiah.
Qasim Hadi reminded them that they are the signatory of the principles endorsed by the Conference to Rebuild Civility in the Iraqi Society and their action in Shahraban will contradict these principles. He told them that their representative in shahraban was proud about the fact that the PUK closed down the offices of the Wpiraq in Suleimanyiah in 2000. They promised to contact their organization in Shahraban and tell them not to be part of the regional Governor’s polts against the WPIraq.
Then the delegation went to the office of the Islamic Aldawa party in Matar al-Muthana suburb. They also denied knowing anything about what happened in Shahraban and they said they would talk to their organization in Sharaban and tell against such actions.
It is worth mentioning that the WPIraq’s organization in Baghdad leafleted thousands of copies of the communiqué issued by Samir Adil, the head of the Executive Committee of the Worker-communist Party of Iraq. It was also distributed on media and many TV satellites interviewed Samir Adil on this issue.
A Party’s delegation consisted of Salim Farhan and Adil Salih also met the head of the USA force in the town of Shahraban and hold them responsible for deterioration of security situation and for supporting Islamic groups and providing fertile ground for them to grow and thus putting the safety and security of the Iraqi citizens at risk and not caring about their needs. The delegation told the USA that any terrorist action against the Party’s offices by any other party will meet prompt response from the party in defense of itself.
Moqdadyiah’s Regional Governor leans on a decayed stick
On October 2,2004, the regional Governor of the Iraqi town of Muqdadya organized a forum where he called for a vote to close the office of the Worker-communist Party of Iraq in this town. It is noteworthy that the leaders of WPIraq have recently launched a campaign to reveal the widespread corruption in governmental institutions including steeling public money and property, embezzlements, receiving bribes, pocketing money for non-existing projects while non of the projects to improve social services long waited by the residents of this town and suspected to be achieved by now have been carried out.
We want to inform the regional governor, that the American troops, Alawai’s government and all pro-USA parties, that we are not a firm stick to lean on. It would have been more proper for the Interim Government to answer the hardships which face the society, provide solutions to the crises which control all aspects of life and treat the society’s wounds starting from the most dangerous crisis which faces the Iraqi society, namely the crisis of unemployment which threatens all pillars of civility in the society, to the crisis of power, water supply, sewage system and public roads and others. Instead the puppet government has denied its responsibility toward the masses and resorts to savage military attacks and killing civilians including women and children, the method used by its bosses to solve the problems.
The Union of Unemployed in Iraq believes that the Worker-communist Party of Iraq is the only party, which dedicates its energy to support unemployed people and their organization-the UUI and its demands. Therefore the Worker-communist Party of Iraq is the only party, which represents the aspirations and hopes of the Iraqi masses. The UUI believes that these attacks on freedom-loving people and violations against political freedoms are part of the USA plot to silence all liberationist voices. The pro-USA parties are simply used as tools to implement this plot. The money given to these parties for non-existing projects and contracts is the price for agreeing to carry out this plot.
The UUI categorically condemns this violation of political freedoms and believes that the masses in Iraq will brush the puppet government aside and will dismiss the USA troops and all parties and forces collaborating with them. It is time that the masses get rid of all bribe-takers and political gamblers and to rule themselves through their own representatives without the proposed elections to be conducted by occupation forces. There is no place in Iraq for a new dictatorship anymore.
