No to Imposition of a Nationalist-Islamic Fascist Constitution

What is alleged to be a draft constitution is not actually more than a lie that serves to forge the people will. Not only that but in fact the entire political process has no ground of legitimacy or legality. Everything basically that has been formed, established, and legislated under the current conditions has no legal bases.

A constitution that is written by the most reactionary and enmity to the human being blessed by US, is a blueprint to admit and accept the current situations. It is another effort to jump over the most fundamental issues that concerns the Iraqi society which is the immediate withdrawal of the US occupying forces and their allies and putting an end to the nationalist, Islamic, and tribal militias who rule with violence and guns. The essential battleground for people struggle is an urgent expulsion of the US troops, and ending the attacks of the armed militias who share responsibilities in creating the disastrous conditions and their continuity. The rumpus created around the constitution is in reality to keep the people away from this fundamental field of their fight.

The occupation is rejected, so its consequences. And whatever foundations produced are invalid and must be dissolved as well. This is the first step towards exiting the current odd situations. It is the pre-condition to make a substantial moving forward to reorganize our society legal and constitutional wise. Drafting any constitution is based on a free and conscious intervention of people, and proper atmosphere. It also drawn upon essential humanitarian values that insure full equalities and citizenship, a way from any nationality, religion, sector, tribe and sex identity. In addition it must comply with the declaration of human rights conventions. Any constitution contradicts this declaration is for sure against the human and humanity and it will fail miserably.

The forces who came through phony election and write the constitution today has no legitimacy. It has become obvious this constitution written by such powers who proved their enmity nature to the people, is a major set back for freedom and civility of the society. Also considering ethnicity and religion as a base of identity will eliminate the definition of Iraqi people as human being.

All forms of federalism, making Islam the religion of the state, legalizing society partition, aborting rights of %60 of the society who happened to be women and their hopes for full equality and vanishing away the libertarian aspiration, all these will be the implications of such constitution to push the society who lived for decades under a nationalist regime to a fascist Islamic-nationalist one, to slavery and discrimination. And to repeat the bloody case that is already implemented in Iran and Afghanistan in Iraq today.

To those who look forward to more humanitarian world!

Such constitution should not put for deceptive referendum, but actually must be thrown away to the history trash can where it belongs, and that is happening only when you intervene to decide your fate.

No to occupation, no to the puppet government, and their constitution and laws

Organize yourselves and unite around Iraq Freedom Congress pamphlet in order to drive the US occupation and other ethnic and Islamic forces out of power and restoring civility in Iraq. This is the real battlefield to salvage the society from the current tragic conditions.
