All over the world, a
fierce war is ongoing against workers. The
producers of wealth and creators of life are
not only forced into slavery living
conditions, but are forced to engage in
harsh struggle for survival. From America to
France, from the UK to China and from the
oil wells in the Persian Gulf to the gold
mines in South Africa, despite the gigantic
advances in all fields, today the workers
have to fight on daily basis for the rights
of citizenship, to defend the gains achieved
fifty years ago and to secure wages enough
to keep themselves and their families alive.
They have to be constantly ready to fight
back against the ferocious attack of the
capital and capitalists.
However, the struggle
launched a few centuries ago and the gains
achieved through the hard struggle of
several generations of workers do not allow
the capitalist system to show its real
brutal and bloody essence. In France,
Britain and even in America, millions of
discontent workers face the attacks by the
capitalists, foil them and take steps to
impose their demands. The preparedness of
workers in Europe and America, does not
allow Bush, Blair and other bourgeois
leaders across the world to reveal their
true brutality. Despite the obvious
anti-workers agenda of these “democratic”
states in their own countries, however the
true anti-human nature of these states
become evident not on the streets of New
York and London and against the migrant
and retired workers, but on the streets and
suburbs of Baghdad, Falluja, Ramadi, and in
Abu Ghuraib and Basra prisons.
The US war and
warmongering have ruined the Iraqi society.
By attacking Iraq, Bush and Blair have put
millions of people in this country in real
hell. Rarely a day passes by without few
horrible events and massacres take place in
this country. Amid the destruction caused by
the US war and as the result of the inhumane
policy of dividing the Iraqi society
and characterizing people along racial and
sectarian lines, Iraq is now a field
for a brutal armed war among ethnocentric
and sectarian militias and gangs. In
addition to facing the possibility of
falling victims by the direct bullets of the
US and British forces, the Iraqi workers
not only have to fight against the attacks
of employers and the state on their rights
but also against the attacks of the criminal
Islamic and ethnocentric groups on their
lives and rights. Working places and roads
to and from work are fields for a real war,
where scores of workers lose their lives
everyday.
Amid this dangerous
situation in Iraq, the Iraqi workers resort
to arms. Taking arm is the only way to
defend their lives and survive. Not only to
liberate themselves but also keep themselves
alive, the workers need to take arms. To
liberate the Iraqi society from the
occupation, war, killing and terrorism and
to rebuild the civil society in this
country, the workers need their independent
armed forces.
The Worker-communist
Party of Iraq strives to arm the workers and
establish the army of the Iraqi proletariat.
The Iraq Freedom Congress, which struggles
to dismiss the occupation and rebuild civil
society in Iraq, is the tool to arm the
workers and bring them armed to the fore.
Workers and Freedom loving people worldwide!
May Day for the Iraqi
workers is the day to start establishing
their own independent military forces. Let’s
make May Day all over the world, a day to
help establish the Proletarian Army in Iraq.
Today, you can best materialize your class
and human support for your fellow workers in
Iraq by supporting the effort to
build this army. Your slogans and cries
against the occupation of Iraq cannot make
the slightest change if they do not
strengthen the armed forces of the Iraqi
workers. In defense of the Iraqi
worker’s lives and rights, support and raise
fund to build the Proletarian Army in
Iraq. Support and join the Iraq Freedom
Congress.
Long live May Day, the Working class’s day
of international solidarity
Toward building the Proletarian Army in Iraq
