The Iraqi puppet government’s resolution to
raise fuel prices must be abolished
In another step indicative of the real
essence of the sectarian and ethnocentric
puppet government ruling in Iraq and its
agenda, the Oil Ministry decided to increase
the prices of fuel in Iraq starting from
Sunday, the 1st July 2007.
Immediately after this decision was taken,
the fuel crisis has worsened by many folds.
The outraged masses of people responded by
organizing demonstrations and protests in
many cities across the country against this
tyrannical resolution. It is worth
mentioning that this decision was dictated
by the International Monterey Fund and Paris
Club, which ask the puppet government to
stop subsidies on fuel prices.
The Worker Communist Party of Iraq condemns
this measure and considers it very
detrimental to the masses of people in Iraq.
By this measure the puppet government known
for unprecedented levels of outright theft
and plunder seeks further impoverishing the
masses. It seems that steeling billions of
public money is not enough for this
government, therefore it wants to steel what
is on the already empty tables of the vast
majority of families in Iraq.
Through this despotic resolution meant to
serve the interests of its masters, the
Iraqi government pushes the masses of people
who live in abject poverty, massive
unemployment and lack of the most basic
social security into more poverty and
miseries. This government is loyal to the
interests of its masters in the occupation
and tyrants of international capital. This
resolution is another evidence that this
government has nothing to do with the
interests and aspirations of the poor people
and toilers in the Iraqi society.
The Worker-communist Party of Iraq will do
its best to abolish this despotic
resolution. It calls on the masses of people
in Iraq to unite their ranks and face this
resolution, which ridicules the most basic
human values and their real demands and
aspirations. The Worker-communist Party of
Iraq calls on all labour, progressive and
human right organizations to play a vanguard
role to expose and immediately abolish this
resolution. |
