We are writing to protest in the strongest possible terms against your arrest and continued imprisonment of Rebwar Aref. We regard this as an infringement of the basic democratic rights that your organisation has formally committed itself to upholding in that part of the world.

 

We intend to publicise this case widely in the working class and progressive movement in Britain, and demand that:

 

• Rebwar Aref is immediately released
• Freedom of political activities in that region is guaranteed both for comrade Aref and other all other democratic individuals and trends.
